Events
1) Guest lecture in the Stanford seminar on 3D printing of aerospace systems. 
--The class was about the benefits of 3D printing in austere environments. Format was 15 minutes lecture on terrestrial environments. Dr.Senesky lectured for 15 minutes on space environments. Students then were assigned 5 environments: space, arid environment, underwater, city, arctic and provided pros and cons to the rest of the class.

2) Meeting with Army Chief of Staff
--Talked about his concerns over the next 10-15 years

3) Attended two day Quantum Computing conference. https://www.q2b.us. 
--Hosted by QCWare and supported by NASA and Google. Linked an Austin-based QC start-up with the Austin DIUx office.

3) Meeting with Mr. Mike Sellitto (https://www.cnas.org/people/michael-sellitto)
--Works for DoS on the NSC on cyber policy
--Discussed next steps in national cyber policy

4) One-on-One with Mr. Andy Grotto (https://cisac.fsi.stanford.edu/people/andrew-j-grotto)
--Former Senior Director for Cyberspace Policy at the NSC. Discussed the formulation and his drafting of the Executive Order on Cybersecurity (https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/presidential-executive-order-strengthening-cybersecurity-federal-networks-critical-infrastructure/)

6) Featured speaker at San Mateo Rotary Club meeting
--Spoke about cyber security to about fifty members of the San Mateo community

--Individual meeting with AMB Karl Eikenberry, retired LTG. Former US AMB to AFG. He asked me to help him teach his class next year entitled Technology in National Security.

--Attending AU Cyber College Cyber Strategy Conference at Maxwell AFB 23-34 Jan 18.

- Planning planning conference between USSOCOM/USCYBERCOM planners. Goal is to leverage strengths from both commands. Dr. Herb Lin, Stanford CISAC, is trying to set this up for the spring. USSOCOM/CoS sourcing SOF attendees and UCC/J5 planners looking for options.

Public Policy of Drone Control (Doctoral Requirement). Assessment of how drone control policy is implemented at the national, state and local levels.

Proposed Research:

Air Force: Four historical strategists take on cyber. Plan is to assess how Thucydides, Jomini, A.J. Mahan, Herman Kahn would approach cyber strategy. Thucydides, Jomini, Mahan, Kahn. Currently drafting Thucydides section. Each will also have a smaller OpEd possible for The Hill.

Doctoral: The role of private foundations in high school. Plan is assess the positive benefits of private foundations and what happens in school districts that do not have private foundations. Dissertation plan approved.
